Detain (VERB) As in arrested जैसे गिरफ्तार किया गया

  • Meaning:  To take or keep (someone) in confinement by authority of law क़ानून के अधिकार से (किसी को) कैद में रखना या रखना
  • Synonyms: Arrested, Apprehended, Seized
  • Antonyms: Released, Freed , Liberated
  • Example Sentence: J&K Police file murder case over death of 3 men detained by Army.

Reshuffle (VERB) फेरबदल

  • Meaning: To change around the jobs that a group of people do, for example in the Government समूह के सदस्‍यों के कामों में फेरबदल करना (जैसे सरकारी तंत्र में)
  • Synonyms: Reorganize, Restructure, Change
  • Antonyms: No change, keep as is
  • Example Sentence: Major Cabinet reshuffle in Kerala; new Ministers to take oath on December 29.

Nod (VERB) सिर हिलाकर सहमति देना

  • Meaning: To move your head up and down as a way of saying ‘yes’ or as a sign to somebody to do something सिर हिलाना-अपनी स्‍वीकृति जतलाने या किसी को काम करने का इशारा करने के लिए; नवाना
