devastating ( adjective) भयानक

  • that destroys something completely पूर्णतया विनाशकारी
  • Synonyms: destructive, ruinous, disastrous
  • Antonyms: nondestructive blessed inspiring
  • Example Sentence: it would be devastating for him to lose his mother.

 

Blunder (Adjective) : बड़ी भूल

  • a stupid mistake भद्दी या मूर्खतापूर्ण भूल
  • Synonyms: mistake, error, gaffe
  • Antonyms : accuracy , correctness, restitution
  • Example Sentence: it was a dreadful blunder.

 

Credence (noun) : विश्वास 

  • belief in or acceptance of something as true. किसी बात को सत्य मानना या स्वीकार करना।
  • Synonyms: ​acceptance, belief, faith
  • Antonyms : Mistrust, Distrust 
  • Example Sentence: psychoanalysis finds little credence among laymen.

 

pertinent (Adjective ) उचित

  • closely connected with the subject being discussed चर्चाधीन विषय से गहरे संबंधित; संगत, प्रासंगिक
  • Synonyms: relevant, to the point , apposite
  • Antonyms: irrelevant, inappropriate
  • Example Sentence: she asked me a lot of very pertinent questions

Volition (Noun) इच्छाशक्ति

  • the power to choose something freely or to make your own decisions स्‍वतंत्र रूप से कोई काम आदि चुनने या अपने निर्णय स्‍वयं करने की शक्ति; चयन-क्षमता, निर्णय-क्षमता
  • Synonyms:  choice, autonomy, will, free will.
  • Antonyms : Compulsion, Coercion
  • Example Sentence: we were pleased to see her take action of her own volition.

 

Baiting (Adjective): उत्पीड़न

  • deliberately annoy or taunt (someone). जानबूझकर (किसी को) परेशान करना या ताना देना।
  • Synonyms: taunt, goad, provoke, pick on, torment
  • Antonyms: discourage, repel, repulse
  • Example Sentence: The disease can do irreversible damage to the body.

Contemplate (Verb): विचार करना

  • To look at somebody/something, often quietly or for a long time किसी व्‍यक्ति या वस्‍तु को शांत भाव से और देर तक देखना
  • Synonyms: look at,  view, regard , examine
  • Antonyms: discard, disregard, forget, ignore
  • Example Sentence: It’s at times like these when I sit and contemplate and plot.

Resilient (adjective): लचीला

  • strong enough to deal with illness, a shock, change, etc. रोग, आघात, परिवर्तन आदि से सँभलने में समर्थ; प्रतिस्‍कंदी, लचीला
  • Synonyms: flexible, pliable, pliant
  • Antonyms: inflexible, rigid
  • Example Sentence: she revealed a resilient spirit in the face of tragedy

Mirthful (adjective): आनंदित

  • having a ready insight into and understanding of things. चीज़ों के बारे में पूरी जानकारी और समझ होना।
  • Synonyms: merry, high-spirited, hilarious
  • Antonyms: miserable, dejected
  • Example Sentence: The point is elaborated by the perspicacious professor a little later.
